About us

Who are we?

Charlotte

I’m Charlotte, a stay-at-home (or stay-at-hotel) mom and devoted travel enthusiast. My days are spent chasing after our lively little boy, Logan, and planning our next big family adventure. My husband is a full-time teacher, which gives us the advantage of having a lot of vacation time to explore new places together as a family.

I mostly focus on writing the articles for the blog while my husband creates, edits and manages the visuals.

Yasha

I'm Yasha, a former Sales & Marketing Specialist and English Teacher. I have always been an adventurous spirit, my passion for traveling started in the middle east, Turkey to be precise. My parents own a holiday home in a small Turkish village, which we visited twice a year for most of my childhood. However, I've always wanted to broaden my horizons and see as much of the world as possible, that dream became a reality. I got to travel for my job and booked my first intercontinental flight to Bali at 19 years old.

I Iocus on creating visuals for the blog and our socials (photo -and videography, and editing) While my wife writes the actual blog posts.

Logan

Havin been to 13 countries already, our one year old (20-months) whirlwind, is the true boss of our travels. He might not have much to say yet, but he’s definitely got his own opinions—especially when it comes to snacks, or climbing literally everything. From his first flight at three months to his fascination with airport escalators, Logan has been keeping us on our toes. His best travel skill? Turning every trip into an adventure, full of giggles and tantrums, He’s the heart of our travels and the reason we keep collecting memories, even if those memories mostly involve him getting his hands on everything.

Logan is responsible for the heart of our blog while his parents (us), are responsible for the duller things

Frequently asked questions

Why we started traveling

My husband has always been an avid traveler. Before we met, he had already seen much of the world, and his love for exploring new cultures was infectious. For me, the story is a little different. Growing up, travel wasn’t a big part of my life. My parents didn’t have the same desire to explore, but I always knew there was more out there waiting for me. Luckily, during high school, I had the opportunity to join two exchange projects that allowed me to explore different countries and cultures. That experience sparked my love for travel and left me wanting more.

How we became a travel family

Years later, when I met my husband, we instantly connected over our mutual love for adventure. It didn’t take long for us to realize that traveling would be a central part of our lives together. In fact, just three months into our relationship, we packed our bags for our first trip together—a sun-soaked beach holiday in beautiful Croatia. During that trip, we found ourselves dreaming about the future and how we’d one day explore the world as a family.

That dream quickly turned into reality. About 14 months after that trip to Croatia, we found ourselves boarding a plane again, this time with a very special passenger: our three-month-old son, Logan. From that moment on, we became a traveling trio, determined to show him the beauty, diversity, and wonder the world has to offer.

Why we started this blog

We created Suitcase & Strollers to share the joys and challenges of family travel. We believe that travel doesn’t have to stop when you have children—it just becomes a different kind of adventure. Through this blog, we aim to inspire other families to embrace travel, no matter how young their kids are.

We’ll be sharing tips on traveling with little ones, insights from our own adventures, and lessons we’ve learned along the way. From navigating airports with toddlers to finding kid-friendly spots in unexpected places, our goal is to make family travel easier, more enjoyable, and filled with unforgettable memories.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. Whether you’re an experienced traveler or just starting out with your little one in tow, we hope you find inspiration, helpful advice, and a sense of connection in our stories.
